Mileage Accrual Method & Notes
How to Get Credit for Miles Earned

Upon flight reservation and ticketing, or check-in, provide your SKYPASS membership number to a Korean Air representative to receive mileage credit in your account for the corresponding flight.
After completing your flight, confirm that the corresponding mileage award has been accrued. If the mileage award has been omitted, complete and submit the necessary forms to a Korean Air office to resolve any mileage discrepancies.

  Notes
  - Please safely store your boarding pass and flight ticket receipts until mileage credit for the corresponding flight has been confirmed.
- If you enroll as a Korean Air Internet member, you can easily confirm your mileage account status via the Korean Air website (www.koreanair.com). If you register your e-mail address, you will be sent a monthly e-statement via e-mail.

Mileage Accrual Notes

Mileage awards and accrual are only available to passengers enrolled in the SKYPASS program.

Mileage accrual is not available for any flights taken prior to SKYPASS membership enrollment.

Mileage earned in Korean Air’s SKYPASS program on or after July 1, 2008 has a validity of ten years and any unredeemed mileage will expire. Mileage earned on or before June 30, 2008 will not expire. The ten-year validity is calculated from the date of travel on Korean Air and partner airlines.

Mileage accrual is not available when traveling via complimentary flight tickets or 50% or more discounted flight tickets, as well as when using special reservation classes.

For joint flights serviced by a Korean Air partner carrier, mileage is only accrued if the flight ticket was issued by Korean Air.

SKYPASS Junior members earn the same miles as adult. (75% of actual adult traveled miles are accrued before June 30, 2011)

Mileage Accrual Standards
Korean Air automatically converts the distance traveled by each customer to miles for accrual purposes, and mileage accrual rates vary according to seat class.
