Q1: How can I redeem my miles to receive awards? Please notify the agent that you are making a reservation for a bonus ticket. Since bonus tickets have a special booking class, you may not be able to board if you reserve a seat without notifying the agent. Since bonus tickets are only allowed on flights with sufficient available seats, please select the departure dates wisely. Q2: How can I change the itinerary of my bonus ticket? The itinerary can only be changed as long as the modification is of the same region, same season and same class. The changes must be made while the ticket is valid. Q3: Is there a ticket that restricts upgrade awards? Upgrade awards are not permitted for the following tickets. Discount tickets of 50% or more Tickets of N, G class Flights from Korea to US: E class Flights from US: L, H class Flights to US: Q, V class Europe routes: E class Q4: Can I get an upgrade from economy to first class? Economy class ticket cannot be upgraded to first class. Upgrade award can only be upgraded to the next class of service. Q5: Can I get a bonus ticket for partner airlines by redeeming my SKYPASS mileage? Yes. Bonus tickets can be issued for flights on partner airlines. However, Korean Air must issue the ticket and the segments must be confirmed before the ticket is issued. (one-way bonus tickets are not allowed) Since there is a special booking class for bonus tickets, you must notify the agent that you are using a bonus ticket when booking or changing your itinerary. (You may not board the aircraft if the seat is not booked in a special booking class) Q6: I'm planning to travel to Paris from Seoul on Air France, can I redeem my SKYPASS mileage for an upgrade? No. Upgrade awards can only be used on Korean Air routes and cannot be used on partner airlines. Q7 : Can I purchase additional miles? SKYPASS mileage points cannot be purchased. Furthermore, travel award tickets are not redeemable for cash or exchangeable for the revenue tickets. Bonus tickets are valid for six (6) months from the date of issuance. Q9 : Is it possible to extend the validity of my Bonus Award Ticket? Extensions are allowed with a deduction of 5,000 miles per extension. No more than two (2) three-month validity extensions are allowed. Requests must be made prior to the ticket expiration date. Q10 : Can I Refund my Unused Awards? Unused award can be fully returned for mileage redeposit into your SKYPASS account within 6 months of bonus award ticket issuance date. Should the reimbursement request be made after 6 months of the issuance date, 5,000 miles will be deducted; 10,000 miles will be deducted should the request be made after 12 months up to following year.
