Baggage Tips and Information
Pack as lightly as possible to promote safe travel.
Make sure that your baggage does not exceed the size and weight limits stipulated by the airline. Pack items properly to avoid possible damage.
Attach a clearly written (in English) name tag with the passenger’s name, address, and travel destination both inside and outside of each piece of baggage.
Multi-purpose (Swiss Army) knives, fruit knives, scissors, nail clippers, golf clubs, etc. are restricted carry-on items and cannot be brought into the cabin. Make sure such items are in checked baggage prior to boarding.
Flammable and/or combustible items including lighter fluid, paint, butane gas, burners, etc. are not accepted in carry-on or checked baggage.
In case of carry on, one lighter is allowed.
As of April 8, 2008, the carriage of lighters and/or matches is prohibited throughout China international and domestic airports and is subject to inspection at security check stations. Please plan accordingly prior to travel.
Fragile items such as pottery, electronic products, glassware, frames, etc.; perishable items such as food; and liquids (including gels) food, perishables and other items with foul odor are not allowed in checked baggage.
Please notify the airline in advance if you have special items like sports equipment (bikes, surfboards, etc.) and pets for smooth handling on the day of travel.
Keep high-value items such as laptop computers, camcorders, cameras, jewelry, antiques, precious metals, etc. in your carry-on baggage at all times. Airlines assume no liability for loss or damage of such items as well as other valuables such as cash, securities, contracts, dissertations, medical supplies, etc., provided, however, that this limitation does not apply in the case of flights to or from the United States.
