Korean Air offers a PTA (Prepaid Ticket Advice) service that allows you to pay the air fare in advance for a passenger who lives in a different region, so that he/she can receive the ticket without making payment. |

Apply for PTA |

Apply for a PTA service through a Korean Air ticketing office or your local travel agency and pay air fare, tax and service charge. |
 |
Service charge may vary depending on the country where the PTA service is requested.
(example) in Korea - 30,000 Won, in USA - USD 50, in Japan - 4,500 Yen |

PTA request should be made at least 48 hours prior to departure of the passenger’s flight. |

Receive a ticket |

Korean Air will inform the passenger of the ticket issuance and send the e-Ticket Itinerary/Receipt via e-mail or Fax. |
 |
If e-Ticket is not available, passenger’s in-person visit to a Korean Air ticketing office with valid identification is required to receive a paper ticket. |

Any changes to the original PTA ticket will require the payer’s consent prior to flight departure. Please allow us enough time for processing. |

Refund a ticket purchased through PTA |

The refund will be paid only to the payer of the PTA ticket, not to the passenger. |

Other procedures are same as normal ticket.  |
