Passengers should not place high-priced valuables such as laptop computers, camcorders, cameras, jewelry, antiques, precious metals, etc. in check-in baggage, and are recommended to carry such items on their person at all times.
The airline is not responsible for any damage and/or loss, as well as any damage/loss resulting from such, of such items that may also include currency, securities, contracts, dissertations, medical supplies, etc.
Except however that this limitation on liability does not apply to
flights to or from the United States. In this case the passenger
is required to provide evidence as to the existence and the
value of the lost item in order to establish his/her right to damages
and Korean Air is not liable if and to the extent that the damage
resulted from the inherent defect, quality or vice of the baggage.
