Support for Korean Language Education |

Through its AOD (Audio on Demand) service on select middle- and long-distance flights, Korean Air provides Korean language courses, co-developed by KBS WORLD Radio and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. ‘Let’s Learn Korean’ provides Korean language lessons ranging from basic conversation to beginner-level short conversations (less than 3 minutes) that foreign tourists in Korea may find useful at the airport, customs and currency exchange, in taxis, hotels, restaurants and on the subway as well as on the street to ask for directions. By listening to accurate Korean pronunciation recorded by KBS announcers, passengers on most Korean Air’s middle- and long-distance flights will be able to learn basic conversations they will find useful in various situations during their stay in Korea. Through this AOD service, Korean Air seeks to raise awareness of the Korean language among visitors in Korea and contribute to the enhancement of Korea’s global competitiveness as one of its major national brands. |
