Special Assistance / Infant

   Various services are available for passengers traveling with infants. Korean Air refers to babies under the age of two as infants.

Things to check before traveling
Infant age for traveling
  International flights : 14 days or older
  Domestic flights : 7 days or older
Airfare for infants
  International flights : 10% of the adult fare
  Domestic flights : Free of charge for infants
NOTES
An adult must accompany the infant and no seat will be allocated to the infant.
If a child fare ticket has been purchased for the infant, a seat will be assigned to the infant
Single adult passenger travelling with more than one infant must purchase at least one child fare ticket.

 

Additional baggage allowance
   Passengers traveling with infants can take more baggages. For the details, please refer to the table below.
International Flights Domestic Flights
One item among a collapsible stroller, a carriage, a baby bassinet
or a car seat
One piece of baggage which does not exceed 115cm(length+width+height) and 10kg -

  Collapsible strollers without hard covers
  When folded, 100cm*20cm*20cm or less
NOTES
Anything larger strollers must be checked-in during the check-in process or at the boarding gate.

In-flight meals for infants
 
Under 12 months : Baby formula, orange juice
12 ~ 24 months : Baby food, orange juice
NOTES
Baby meals must be requested at least 24 hours prior to departure through the reservation center.
For infants with special needs, please prepare your own food as only standard products selected by Korean Air will be served.

In-flight facilities for infants
 
Baby bassinets
  Available flights : International flights
  How to apply : A request for a baby bassinet can be made at time of                      reservation or at least 48 hours prior to departure. Please                      contact Korean Air reservation center or the nearest                      Korean Air office to request a bassinet.
  Bassinet size : 75cm/29.5ins Length x 34cm/13.4ins Width x                      22.4cm/8.8ins Height
  Baby weight & height :  Babies who weigh no more than 11kg/24.25lbs                                   and are not more than 75cm/2.46 feet tall can                                   travel using the onboard bassinet.
NOTES
3 Baby bassinets are not offered on domestic flights.
A limited number of bassinets are provided and are subject to availability.
Infant Car Seat
 
An infant car seat may be used onboard, subject to space availability.
 
Prior to departure, please confirm if an infant car seat may be carried onboard as it can only be used on an unoccupied aircraft seat.
 
Please ensure its safety standard is internationally certified. 
 

For the safety of the infants, single guardian travelling with two infants must purchase at least one child fare ticket to ensure the availability of at least one aircraft seat.

Facilities for diaper changing
  On all medium-long distance flights, baby diaper panels are installed
in in-flight lavatories for diaper changes.
 

Please ask flight attendants for the locations of the in-flight lavatories.
