Q1: Does the airline provide a wheelchair service for those who need assistance? Those who need assistance can use the wheelchair service provided by the airline. The condition of the passenger must be notified during reservation to request the service. Q2: Can a pregnant woman board the aircraft? Pregnant woman can travel both on international and domestic flights. Passengers who are less than 32 weeks of pregnancy can travel as normal passengers. Those who are into 32 weeks or more must provide a copy of medical certificate and the condition and the delivery date should be shared with the reservation agent. 1 copy of medical certificate: Certificate signed by an obstetrician within 72 hours prior to departure. (The medical certificate must include doctor's permission, single/multi pregnancy, and delivery date along with any other needed notes.) 2 copies of declaration of indemnity: Available at the check-in counter Q3: Can a child travel alone? A child traveling alone can have an enjoyable and safe journey on Korean Air. Child traveling alone is called an "unaccompanied minor". Airline must approve before the departure date so that an airline staff can accompany the child from departure gate to the hands of the guardian upon arrival. Request must be made through Korean Air reservation center at least 24 hours prior to departure. There is no service charge within Korea, USD60 (equal local currency) will be charged for international flights. Q4: Can an infant travel on the aircraft? An infant must be 7 days or older to travel on domestic flights and 14 days or older for international flights. Airline believes that the health condition of the baby will not be affected after this period. Please consider personal conditions before boarding. Q5: How much is the fare for infants? If two or more infants are traveling with one passenger, only one of the infants may travel as a lap child. Any additional children under the age of two are required to purchase a child ticket (75% adult fare) and will occupy a seat. Q6: What is the baggage allowance for infants? International: One piece of checked baggage provided that the dimensions do not exceed 115 cm. and 10 kg, plus one stroller, carriage or a car seat may be checked Within Korea: One stroller, carriage or a car seat may be checked on Korean domestic routes, additional piece will be charged. * The same baggage allowance is permitted for a child as that of an adult passenger (child fare paid) Q7: Can strollers or car seats be used? Strollers may be used within the airport and can be used to board the aircraft. It can be checked at the door and the staff will check it for you. Collapsible strollers (100cm*20cm*20cm or less when folded, without hard covers) may be stowed in the aircraft cabin. Car seats must be installed to the seat and must be used in an unoccupied seat. Please make sure that there are unoccupied seats during check-in.
