Advance Seat Selection

For our customers’ convenience, Korean Air is providing ‘Advance Seat Selection’ service that allows passengers to select their preferred seat prior to checking-in.

Eligible customers Login members who have completed their ticket purchase at Korean Air websites Customers who have completed their ticket purchase thru any of the Korean air offline sales channels such as a call center, airport, city offices and travel agencies (SKYPASS number must be reflected on the reservation record). Even if the eligibility is guaranteed by the above, Advance Seat Selection may not be available in the event of unscheduled flight operations (extra or charter flights) or a delayed flight maintenance. Note The selection service is not offered on any code-share flight operated by other airlines. Group ticket holders are not eligible for the selection service.

Guidelines Please login as Korean Air internet member before purchasing tickets online. You will be able to select a seat while booking for your flights (Just click ‘Select Seats' in the lower end of ‘Finish' page). For modification of your pre-selected seats or new seat request, please go to My Reservation Section of My Page. Please print out one of the following confirmation slips for your boarding process at the airport. – Domestic Flight:      - International Flight: To reprint above confirmation slips, please go to My Reservation Section of My Page.

Service Availability   International Flights Domestic Flights First Class 90 days to 24 hours prior to departure - Prestige Class 90 days to 3 hours prior to departure Economy Class 90 days to 48 hours prior to departure * The seat selection can also be requested in advance thru the call center if the request is within 30 days to 24 hours (Prestige Class)/ 48 hours (Economy Class) prior to departure.

Important Information Boarding and pre-selected seats may not be guaranteed under the following circumstances.   International Flights Domestic Flights First Class when passengers do not check in 1 hour prior to departure - Prestige Class when passengers do not check in 20 minutes prior to departure Economy Class when passengers do not check in 1 hour and 30 minutes prior to departure When Passengers do not check-in 30 minutes prior to departure. Some seats including ones near the exit may not be available. The selection may be restricted in certain area of seating zone for any unforeseen aircraft change. In addition, even the pre-selected seats can be reassigned without any prior-notice in the event of unexpected irregular operations. The seating configuration of internet seat map may be different from actual configuration of the aircraft you will be boarding. If you are not able to select a seat on the Internet, please have your seat assigned when you check in at the airport on the date of your departure.
