Who are the eligible users of web check-in service? |
 |
- Member of www.koreanair.com
- Passenger traveling with Korean Air flight
- Passenger traveling to visa-not-required destination.
(However, passenger must hold any required documents or tickets for immigration and
transit process)
- Passenger holding a valid e-ticket with a confirmed reservation.
- Passenger without any additional service requests requiring confirmation at the airport |

Who are the ineligible users of web check-in service? |

- Passenger traveling with other airline flights
- Passenger traveling with code-share flights
- Passenger holding a group ticket
- Passenger holding an e-ticket with a change request on the reservation status.
- Passenger with additional service requests requiring confirmation at the airport
(e.g.: traveling by unaccompanied minor, traveling with pets, wheelchair required
passengers, cabin class upgrade, traveling with a luggage occupying extra seat,
ticket purchase with credit card holder check request). |

When can I access web check-in service? |
 |
Web check-in service is available from 4 hours to 24 hours before scheduled flight departure time (local time). The service is also available on any onward Korean Air flight connected with 24 hours. |

Does web check-in service have a limitation depending on departing airport?
(What are the major differences between Home Printed Boarding Pass and Exchange Voucher?)

Web Check-In service does not have any limitation in terms of service acceptance. However, Home printed boarding pass is still not the widely accepted boarding pass form.
Due to different security measures by the airports, Home Printed Boarding Pass may neither be accepted nor presented as the boarding pass.
During web check-in process, any passenger traveling from the airports not accepting Home Printed Boarding Pass can print out Exchange Voucher, which then needs to be exchanged with the boarding pass at the Korean Air Web Check-In counter. |

What are the services offered by web check-in services? |
 |
Web check-in offers following key services:
- Check-in: seat assign and change, entering and modification of frequent flyer number.
- Check-in cancellation.

Can I change the seats checked-in by web check-in service? |
 |
Once completing web check-in, the assigned seats cannot be further changed. If you wish to change your seats, it is required to visit either Web Check-In or regular check-in counters. |

Does web check-in provide a cancellation of your check-in status?
|
 |
Web Check-In provides a cancellation option that allows you to offload your assigned seat from Korean Air’s check-in system. This option however does not cancel your reservation or ticket status. Therefore, in case of any change on your reservation including refund, please contact a representative form your ticket sales office.
Since web check-in service does not permit any recheck-in after cancellation, please go to the check-in counters at the airports for your recheck-in process.

Why do I have to enter my passport information? |
 |
Most airport authorities and immigration offices requires an airline to submit passport details for its passengers prior to the flight departure. Therefore, passport details must be entered during web check-in process. For those traveling to U.S.A., entry of additional visiting address is also required. |

I am traveling with friends. Does web check-in require single check-in for all passengers traveling together? Or does it allow a separate check-in? |
 |
In case of traveling together with friends or family members, you can also select the passenger to check-in separately. And, even if one member of the traveling group is not eligible for web check-in service, other service eligible passengers are still be able to complete their web check-in process. |

During the process of checking for all passengers traveling together, the check-in was not properly processed and uncompleted for some passengers. |
 |
Web check-in process may not be completed in the following cases.
- Visa required passenger
- Confirmed as service ineligible passenger: refer to FAQ for detail.
- Reconfirm request response from arriving country’s immigration system.
- Other check-in process errors
If you’ve encountered any of above cases, it is recommended to start over the process for other eligible passengers. Passengers unable to complete the web check-in due to above cases are required to visit general check-in counters to complete their check-in process. |

Does web check-in offer the baggage check-in service? |
 |
Web check-in service does not process any baggage check-in. Baggage check-in service is only available on either Web Check-In or general check-in counter. . Your home printed boarding pass and passport must be presented. In case of holding Exchange Voucher, the voucher needs to be exchanged with the boarding pass first. Recommended baggage check-in completion is at least one hour prior to your scheduled departure. |

What time is the recommended airport show-up time?

- Home Printed Boarding Pass:
Please visit Korean Air Web Check-In counter for a validation (stamp) and a baggage check-in procedure (in case of carrying a check-in baggage). Baggage check-in must be completed at least 1 hour prior to your scheduled departure time.
- Exchange Voucher or Summary Page :
Please visit and complete necessary procedures at Korean Air Web Check-In counter
at least one hour prior to your scheduled departure time

Printing Home Printed Boarding Pass |

My home printed boarding pass was not properly printed. Will it cause any problem during boarding? |
 |
Home Printed Boarding Pass issued after web check-in process features document forgery prevention schemes including anti-copy protection and watermark reducing the risk of data fabrication. Therefore, it is very important that Home Printed Boarding Pass needs to be printed out properly, and any misprinted version would not be accepted at the boarding gate. If you’re unsure of print quality of the Home Printed Coupon, please print out Summary page and present it to Korean Air Web Check-In counter for the exchange. |

In case of loosing Home Printed Boarding Pass, does Web Check-In has reprint option? Or, can I bring the copy version instead? |
 |
Any misprinted or copied home printed boarding pass is regarded as an invalid. However, you can login to web check in page and reprint out your boarding pass during web check-in service hours. But, please make sure that reprint is only permitted one time per passenger. And, the latest print version must be presented at the boarding gate. Any previous print version must be exchanged at Korean Air Web Check-In counter. |

Does my PC settings have any impact on the quality?

Followings are the recommended system requirements for Home Printed Boarding Pass.
- OS : Microsoft Windows 98, NT, 2000, XP :
- Browser: Internet Explorer 5.5, 6.0, 7.0
- Printer: 600 dpi or above in resolution
- Barcode and anti-copy protection logo are sensitive to a printer type, which may cause a low print quality. If you’re unsure of print quality, please visit Korean Air web check-in counter for a quality check.
