ELIGIBILITY / WHO CAN PARTICIPATE:
No Purchase Necessary. This sweepstakes is open only to legal residents
of the fifty (50) United States (and District of Columbia) who are
at least eighteen (18) years old at the time of entry. This sweepstakes
is open to newly registering member of www.koreanair.com or current
member updating his or her membership profile in the United States.
Newly registering members or current members must be domiciled in
the United States. Domicile means the place of residency where intent
to stay permanently. Membership registration or updates must be
done solely through www.koreanair.com
North America site only. VOID IN CANADA AND WHERE PROHIBITED
BY LAW. Employees of Korean Air, its subsidiaries, affiliates and
immediate families (spouse, parents, siblings, and children) and
persons living in the same household of such employees are not eligible.
Applications received from persons residing in geographic areas
in which entry is not permissible will be disqualified.
WINNING A PRIZE IS CONTINGENT UPON FULLFILLING ALL REQUIREMENTS
SET FORTH HEREIN.
SWEEPSTAKES PERIOD
This Sweepstakes begins on December 19, 2005 at 12:00 a.m. Pacific
Standard Time ("PST") through January 31, 2006 at 11:59 p.m. PST
(the "Promotion Period"). Administrator's computer is the official
time keeping device for the sweepstakes.
HOW TO ENTER:
During the Promotion Period go to www.koreanair.com and click option
"North America" under Region column. Then, fill out the online entry
form completely and submit the form in order to become a new member
or log on to the website by entering your user id or skypass number
and password to update your membership profile. Limit: one (1) Sweepstakes
entry per person, per email address during the Promotion Period
by registering. Newly registering members or current members MUST
choose "NORTH AMERICA" under Region column in order to make their
entrance valid.
PRIZES:
Total of Seventeen (16) prize winners will be selected during Sweepstake
Period as follows:
One (1) First Prize: One Korean Air Economy Class
Round-trip tickets from any U.S. Korean Air Gateways to any Korean
Air destinations in Asia.
Five (5) Second Prize: iPod nano, approximately
a retail value of $300 (Three Hundred Dollars).
Ten (10) Third Prize: USB flash memory card, approximately
a retail value of $50.00 (Fifty) Dollars.

GENERAL CONDITIONS:
This sweepstake is subject to all applicable federal, state, provisional,
municipal, territorial and local laws and regulations. Taxes (including
airport fees/taxes) will be the responsibility of the winners. No
transfer/substitution of prize is permitted. Korean Air reserves
the right to post, remove and/or modify this sweepstakes on the
internet or through other mode of media at any time. Korean Air
reserves the right to disqualify entries from anyone tampering with
the application process. If, for any reason, the sweepstake drawing
is not capable of running as planned by reason of damage by computer
virus, worms, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, limitations
or failures, or any other causes which, in the sole opinion of the
sponsor, could compromise, undermine or otherwise effect the Rules,
administration, security, fairness or proper conduct of the sweepstakes,
the sponsor reserves the right and absolute discretion to Official
Rules and/or cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the sweepstakes.
Korean Air assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption,
defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line
failure, theft, destruction, or unauthorized access to the site.
Korean Air is not responsible for injuries or damage to participants
to any other person's computer, other equipment, or person relating
to or resulting from in the sweepstakes, or from downloading materials
or accessing the site. By their entry, participants are agreeing
to these rules. By acceptance of prize, winners agree to rules about
use of name/likeness for commercial purposes without notification/compensation,
except where prohibited.
GENERAL RELEASE:
By receipt of any prize, winner agrees to release and hold harmless
Sponsor/Administrator, and their respective subsidiaries, affiliates,
suppliers, distributors, advertising/promotion agencies, and prize
suppliers, and each of their respective parent companies and each
such company's officers, directors, employees and agents (collectively,
the "Released Parties) from and against any claim or cause of action,
including, but not limited to, personal injury, death, or damage
to or loss of property, arising out of participation in the Sweepstakes
or receipt or use or misuse of any prize.
DISPUTES:
Except where prohibited, entrant agrees that: (1) any and all disputes,
claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with this
Sweepstakes or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually,
without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the
United States District Court for the Central District of California
or the appropriate California State Court located in Los Angeles
County, Los Angeles, U.S.A.; (2) any and all claims, judgments and
awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred,
including costs associated with entering the Sweepstakes, but in
no event attorney's fees; and (3) under no circumstances will entrant
be permitted to obtain awards for, and entrant hereby waives a rights
to claim, indirect, punitive, incidental and consequential damages
and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses,
and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased.
All issues and questions concerning the constitution, validity,
interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the
rights and obligation of the entrant and sponsor in connection with
the Sweepstakes, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance
with, the laws of the State of California, U.S.A. without giving
effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of
the State of California or any other jurisdiction), which would
cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than
the State of California.
TO OBTAIN NAME OF THE WINNERS:
The name of the winners will be available after a random selection
from all eligible entries received. Administrator, whose decisions
as to the administration and operation of the Sweepstakes and the
selection of the potential winners are final and binding in all
matters related to the Sweepstakes. The name of the winners will
be listed at Korean Air's North America website - www.koreanair.com
on or around February 20, 2006. Winners must contact Korean Air
at webmaster@laxda.koreanair.com
before March 20, 2006 in order to obtain Travel Award Certificate
or other prizes. Prize will be forfeited after March 20, 2006. Winners
are responsible for any fees or charges assessed by sponsors of
Korean Air Website New Member Sweepstakes Event.
For a paper copy of the winner's name or to obtain copy of these
