CEO Message
This is a challenging time for the world airline industry and Korean Air, an airline that carries the pride of Korea around the world. But every challenge brings opportunity and Korean Air’s time is now.

Korean Air is on the cusp of global greatness, and this year my goal is for our airline to be the best that it can be by doing our best.

Our company shares a vision: Excellence in Flight. In everything we do. And while the global airline market is in constant flux, we always will protect our vision and our brand to successfully compete with any airline in the world.
We realize that the only thing we have to offer our customers is excellent service. We will maintain our award-winning style and take pride in the fact that Korean Air’s service is acknowledged around the world as a global benchmark.

While Korean Air is Korea’s national flag carrier, we service the world. And this global ranking requires that we continue to develop new markets and fly the pride of Korea to new destinations in China, the Americas and Europe.

Meanwhile, we will continue to focus on Korea and provide our citizens value by operating a low cost carrier that will serve our country well. There is a demand for this service and who better than Korean Air to meet that new need! This will be a turning point in Korea’s aviation industry and we’re proud to be in a leadership position.

As you see from the recent election results in Korea, our citizens are seeking a better life, partly through an improved national economy. We at Korean Air are a responsible participant, not only in our Korean society but in the world community as well, and we can make a difference by being the best airline we can be.

I look forward to another successful year in 2008, with all of us at Korean Air using courage and foresight to serve you well with our shared vision of Excellence in Flight.
