Earn Miles / Partner Airlines

Mileage accrual is available naturally via Korean Air operated flights as well as flights serviced by fellow SkyTeam carriers (Aeromexico, Air France, Czech Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Alitalia, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Northwest Airlines, Aeroflot Russian Airlines and China Southern Airlines, Kenya Airways, Air Europa) and other affiliated carriers (Vietnam Airlines, Emirates and Alaska Airlines).

Partner Airlines Mileage Accrual Methods
If using partner airlines and/or other affiliated carriers (Vietnam Airlines, Emirates and Alaska Airlines), SKYPASS mileage will be accrued within approximately 3~14 days following completion of travel. However, passengers must present their SKYPASS member cards prior to usage.

  without prior notice depending on partnership agreement conditions as well as partner airline

Mileage Accrual Notes
Mileage accrual is available beginning from the date of SKYPASS membership enrollment and is not available for any flights taken prior to such enrollment.

Mileage earned in Korean Air’s SKYPASS program on or after July 1, 2008 has a validity of five years and any unredeemed mileage will expire. Mileage earned on or before June 30, 2008 will not expire. The five-year validity is calculated from the date of travel on Korean Air and partner airlines.

Mileage accrual is not available when traveling via complimentary flight tickets, bonus flight tickets, 50% or more discounted flight tickets, or other special discount tickets that make mileage accrual invalid.
For SKYPASS Junior members, mileage is accrued at an equivalent of 75% of adult Mileage awards.
Mileage accrual is not available for travel via chartered flights on partner airlines as well as rail and sea travel offered via Air France.
Mileage accrual is available for only one program even if the passenger is enrolled in multiple programs offered by various SkyTeam partner airlines.
Accrued mileage on one airline cannot be transferred to the mileage account of another airline.
To prevent the potential omission of mileage accrual, please make sure that the English spelling of the passenger’s name on the flight ticket is identical to that filed in the passenger’s SKYPASS member information.
Accrual of omitted mileage can be done up to one year following the date of travel, and requires confirmation of the boarding pass and flight ticket receipt (purchase confirmation receipt for e-Tickets) that passengers should submit to any Korean Air office.
Mileage accrual with Korean Air and/or partner airlines is based on the actual distance traveled and the seat class purchased.

When using code share flights, mileage accrual conditions can vary according to the standards of the actual carrier.
