If the number of bags, size, and/or weight exceeds the free baggage allowance, additional fee will be charged for each excess.

What you should know

  • Some countries may restrict items that exceed the maximum weight (32 kg or 70 lb) and/or total linear dimensions (158 cm or 62 in) for a single piece of baggage, regardless of the payment of excess baggage fees.
  • When boarding a codeshare flight, the baggage policy of the partner airline may be applied according to the codeshare agreement. Please check the details in advance.
  • You must never check baggage on behalf of another person, and you cannot combine the baggage allowance of your party and your baggage.
  • Claim your baggage from the carousel and check the baggage tag to make sure that it is your baggage.
  • According to the requirement of U.S. DOT 14 CFR 260.5, if you pay excess baggage fee for your baggage on a flight to/from the U.S. and the baggage is significantly delayed by 15 hours (for scheduled flight time under 12 hours) or 30 hours (for scheduled flight time more than 12 hours), you can receive a refund for the paid excess baggage fee.
  • Commercial baggage to the U.S. must comply with US CBP regulations.
    • To transport commercial baggage (e.g., samples for sales, manufacturing, or promotion, parts, or merchandise) on flights arriving in the U.S., prior approval documents are required.
    • However, at ATL airport, the transport of commercial baggage other than personal items is prohibited.
  • Due to fuel supply constraints in Myanmar, starting from March 30, 2026, passengers on flights to RGN are limited to a maximum of one (1) piece of excess baggage in addition to their free baggage allowance.
  • Items deemed dangerous during X-ray screening are subject to physical inspection and transport restriction(disposal), with strict airline compliance.
