What you should know
Some countries may restrict items that exceed the maximum weight (32 kg or 70 lb) and/or total linear dimensions (158 cm or 62 in) for a single piece of baggage, regardless of the payment of excess baggage fees.
When boarding a codeshare flight, the baggage policy of the partner airline may be applied according to the codeshare agreement. Please check the details in advance.
You must never check baggage on behalf of another person, and you cannot combine the baggage allowance of your party and your baggage.
Claim your baggage from the carousel and check the baggage tag to make sure that it is your baggage.
Please keep your baggage Claim Tag until you have collected your baggage, as the baggage tag number (10 digits) is required to track your baggage or report delayed or damaged bags. The baggage tag number can also be found in the baggage loading notification message on the mobile app for 7 days.
Items deemed dangerous during X-ray screening are subject to physical inspection and transport restriction(disposal), with strict airline compliance.
Based on the codeshare agreement between participating airline partners, the regulations of either the marketing airline or the operating airline will apply for checked baggage.
Full details on free checked baggage allowance can be found on the e-ticket itinerary after purchase.
Regulations on free and excess baggage for codeshare flights (including availability of Elite member benefits) and connecting flights with other airlines may differ from those of Korean Air. Please check in advance through the Korean Air Service Center (+82-1588-2001).
