Transfers

  • If you are transferring to an international or domestic flight upon arrival in the U.S./Canada, you must claim your baggage at your first layover airport. E.g., for an itinerary from Incheon to Boston via San Francisco, you must claim your baggage in San Francisco.
  • After clearing customs, take your baggage to the conveyor belt for transfer passengers or drop off your baggage at the counter of the connecting airline.
    • Exception: Your baggage will be automatically connected if you are transferring on an Incheon-Vancouver-U.S. route.
  • If you’re traveling on Korean Air flights from Incheon to Los Angeles / Atlanta / Seattle, please claim your baggage at your final destination. Upon arrival, if your checked baggage requires re-inspection by the relevant authorities, you’ll be notified at the immigration checkpoint. (For itineraries with separate ticketing, your baggage may not be connected to the final destination. Please contact the staff for more details.)
