Merchandise

Customers on Korean Air international flights

  • Alcoholic beverages, tobacco products, cosmetics, perfumes, health supplements, electronics, watches, fashion goods, chocolates, writing instruments, other gifts
    • Tobacco products can only be ordered via in-flight booking, KakaoTalk, or email

Duty-free allowance

  • The duty-free allowance for travelers entering Korea is USD 800 per person (including items purchased overseas)
  • In addition to the USD 800 allowance, liquor, tobacco, and perfume can be purchased under a separate duty-free limit
    • Separate duty-free allowance: Liquor (2L, no quantity limit) / Tobacco (200 cigarettes) / Perfume (100ml)

  • Check out the SKY SHOP catalog on board and purchase directly from the cabin crew

In-flight pre-order

  • Fill out the pre-order form at your seat to make your purchase and pick it up on your return flight
  • Pre-orders for in-flight duty-free shopping are available for flights departing 72 hours after arrival
    • However, for Korea-Japan/Korea-China (excluding Hong Kong) routes and flights KE612/2, this is available for flights departing 48 hours after arrival

  • You can order by phone or KakaoTalk up to 48 hours before your flight departs from Korea.

Change Order Details (Boarding Date, Flight)

  • Changes are not permitted on the day of or the day before boarding, and can be made within the orderable time for each flight.
    Check order period
  • You can make changes directly from your order history on the SKY SHOP website or request changes through the SKY SHOP call center.

Exchange/Refund

  • You can request an exchange or refund within 20 days from the date of receipt.
    • If the product is different from the display/advertisement or the contract, a refund can be requested within 3 months from the date of receipt (or within 30 days from the day you discovered or could have discovered the fact).
  • Exchange/refund methods by order channel
    • For online orders: Please submit your request via [Customer Inquiry - Member 1:1 Inquiry] at the call center, including your order number, product name, your name, contact information, and email address.
    • For in-flight, email, phone, or KakaoTalk pre-orders: Please submit your request via email or KakaoTalk with the product name, your name, contact information, and email address.
  • Exchanges/refunds not available
    • If the product is lost or damaged for reasons attributable to the customer, or if its value has significantly decreased due to the customer's use.
    • Exchanges and refunds cannot be processed in flight.

Payment methods

  • Credit card
    • Payment limit of USD 1,500 per card (or the equivalent in KRW)
    • You can pay in 2 to 12-month installments for purchases of KRW 50,000 or more with a card issued in Korea
    • Payment in KRW for domestic-only cards
    • Visa Electron, debit cards, and cards in someone else’s name are not accepted
  • Cash
    • Payment in Korean Won (KRW), US Dollar (USD), Japanese Yen (JPY), European Euro (EUR), and Chinese Yuan (CNY)
    • Cash receipts cannot be issued (Article 79(2) of the Enforcement Rule of the Corporate Tax Act)
  • Bank transfer
    • Available for purchases on the SKY SHOP website (in KRW)
