What you should know

Miles accumulated from boarding a Korean Air or partner airline flight can be used until December 31 (KST) of the 10th year following the flight date. (Beginning July 1, 2008)
- The mileage validity period is applied uniformly to all regions according to Korean Standard Time (KST).
  E.g., Valid until 11:59 PM on December 31 (KST) → Valid until 9:59 AM on December 31 (EST)

How to earn mileage Confirm Close

When you fly with a partner airline, you’ll automatically earn miles by entering your SKYPASS number during booking, ticketing, or check-in. (Miles are automatically credited 1 to 14 days after the flight date.)
Please keep your e-ticket itinerary and original boarding pass until your mileage accrual is confirmed.
In the following cases, you can claim mileage within 365 days of the boarding date.
- If you were unable to provide your SKYPASS number during booking, ticketing, or check-in
- If the miles were not automatically credited
- If you were not a SKYPASS member at the time of boarding but signed up within 30 days of the boarding date

Mileage Accrual Criteria Confirm Close

You can earn mileage based on the flight segment, seat, and booking class.
Mileage can be accrued for flights taken on or after the partnership start date with the partner airline.
If you are a member of both Korean Air and a partner airline, mileage can only be accrued with one airline of your choice, and cannot be transferred between airlines once accrued.
When a frequent flyer uses elite member benefits from a specific SkyTeam airline program, mileage will not be accrued to accounts with other programs.
Mileage will not be accrued for charter flights operated by partner airlines. Codeshare flights on partner airlines may not be eligible for mileage accrual, depending on the actual operating carrier.
