Round-the-World Bonus Terms and Conditions

Reservation and Ticketing
  • Reservation can be assisted at Korean Air ticketing offices and Korean Air service centers.
  • Ticketing can be assisted at Korean Air ticketing offices.
Validity

Ticket is valid for one year from the date of issue, and further extension is not permitted.

Change of Itinerary

Itinerary change is permitted before/after starting a journey at a fee of KRW 30,000.
Ticket must be re-issued at Korean Air ticketing offices.

Refund
  • Ticket can be refunded only when it is completely unused. Once the ticket is used, even partially, it is not eligible for refund.
  • Depending on when a refund request is made, mileage can be deducted up to 10,000 miles.

Family Plan and Endorsement

Family Plan (pooling miles among registered family members) and mileage endorsement from/to a registered family member is permitted in order for
SkyTeam Round the World Bonus to be issued.

Other Restrictions

• SkyTeam Round the World Bonus may not be allowed during certain period according to partner airlines’ policy and restriction.
• SkyTeam Round the World Bonus cannot be used on Korean Air operating flights during Korean Air Awards Peak Season.
• Mileage Upgrade is not permitted on SkyTeam Round the World Bonus.
• SkyTeam Round the World Bonus is not allowed on codeshare flights.
• SkyTeam Round the World Bonus and SkyTeam Go Around the World are two different products, hence, different terms and conditions apply.
• All other SKYPASS terms and conditions may apply.

Stopovers and Transfers
  • Stopovers and transfers are allowed only in designated cities with maximum number restrictions. For further details, please contact Korean Air service centers.
  • If transfer is made in a departure city, itinerary must end in the same departure city.
    e.g. Incheon – Tokyo – Paris – Los Angeles – Beijing – Incheon – Taipei – Incheon (O)
           Incheon – Tokyo – Paris – Los Angeles – Beijing – Incheon – Taipei – Busan (X)
           Incheon – Tokyo – Paris – Los Angeles – Beijing – Busan (O)
  • Stopover definition (based on time of stay at a transfer point) 
    - Stopover: stay over 24 hours
    - Transfer: stay less than 24 hours
    cf. In SkyTeam Bonus, if all itineraries are only within North America (U.S./Canada), stay over 4 hours is considered as a stopover.
  • Up to 9 transfers are allowed during entire journey, and up to 5 transfers** are allowed per area*.
    e.g. Incheon – Bali – Dubai – Nairobi – Prague – Rome – New York – Chicago – Sydney – Jakarta – Incheon (O)
           Incheon – Bali – Dubai – Nairobi – Prague – Rome – Paris – Oslo – New York – Honolulu – Incheon

  • Up to 6 stopovers are allowed during entire journey, and up to 4 stopovers***are allowed per area*.
    Number of stopovers will be included in the number of transfers.

* Definition of Areas: Area 1) North/South America, Area 2) Europe/Africa/Middle East, Area 3) Asia/Oceania
** 1) When 5 transfers are made in one area, 2 transfers are allowed in other areas respectively.
     2) When 4 transfers are made in one area, 3 transfers and 2 transfers are allowed in other areas respectively.
*** 1) When 4 stopovers are made in one area, 1 stopover is allowed in other areas respectively.
       2) When 3 transfers are made in one area, 2 transfers and 1 transfer are allowed in other areas respectively.
